Your Motor Carrier Authority Is Being Revoked!

About 30 days ago your company filed for a Motor Carrier Authority (or MC#) and as part of that filing you agreed to obtain proper insurance (form BMC-91) and a Blanket of Coverage (or BOC-3). The FMCSA has recognized that you filed the MC# but the BOC-3 has not been filed or has been misfiled.

If you do not act on this notice, then in roughly 60 days your MC# will be permanently dismissed and you will have to re-file once again and forfeit any fees paid.

•  Why Do I Need a BOC-3?

A BOC-3 is a mandatory compliance, required by the FMCSA for all interstate motor carriers to legally operate. FCCR is a registered Process Agent with the FMCSA, one of only a handful of companies in the US that is qualified to file this registration.

•  How Much Is This Going To Cost?

A BOC-3 filing from FCCR costs $99 to complete and attach the registration to the owner's motor carrier authority.

•  Can I File This On My Own?

No. According to FMCSA policy, all interstate motor carriers are required to have a registered Agent of Process to handle their BOC-3 filing.

•  What Is A BOC-3?

A BOC-3 ensures that every company has contacts in every state they travel through that can receive legal documentation on their behalf and forward it to the owner of the business.

•  Is A BOC-3 All I Need To Be Compliant?

It all depends on how and where you operate your business. You may need other registrations, such as drug testing if you're operating a CDL-required vehicle. It all depends on how and where you operate your business. The easiest way to ensure you're staying compliant is to have a compliance expert who is familiar with all FMCSA and DOT policies.

•  Who Needs A BOC-3?

Every interstate motor carrier (and commercial motor vehicle operator that crosses state lines for commerce) is required to have both an MC number and a BOC-3 on file with the DOT.
